Springtime

This 3 sided jar (26 cm x30 cm) was rescued from a life of obscurity in a second hand shop.  I've decorated it with polymer clay to reflect springtime and finished it off with different coloured mica powders to bring it to life.  It can be used for fresh or dried flowers.  In a previous life it was probably a pasta jar and longed for a more exciting existence.

Rainforest Rainstick

I love the sound of rain on a tin roof so I decided to start making rainsticks.  My first one is a tropical rainstick and I thank Christi Friesen for her wonderful inspirational sculpture series for helping me along the way.  This one measures 32 cm X 14.5 cm.

Seaside Rainstick

This one measures 49.5 cm tall and is decorated with Polymer clay‚ seashells and fresh water pearls.

Alice's Coffee Pot

I have to say that I was inspired by Alice in Wonderland with this one.  I know it's a tea party she went to but I'm a coffee drinker.  This vessel began it's life as an asparagus tin and is now something that any bunch of pens would be proud to stand in.  The lid is removable and stands approximately 22 cm tall.  This one has now been sold.

Swirl

I recently did a class with Christi Friesen via the Joggles website and really enjoyed it.  This was my effort and I look forward to improving on this by doing her Just Hanging Out class next.
